We admit it. We made up the term ‘pre-tirees’. But the naming was in response to a real need. To explain, many of our clients are people who are in the beginning stages to search for the home they intend to have when they retire. They’re not retired yet, they’re just tirekicking. And that’s a GOOD thing. We get it.
In fact, the needs of pre-tirees are quite specific and similar from buyer to buyer. They want a 4-season climate. They want reasonable access to metropolitan areas and transportation. They want comfort but are done with trying to impress anyone else but themselves with their home. They’re tired of shoveling snow and tired of climbing steps. And often they’re tired of gardening and lawn maintenance too. They don’t need or even want a mansion…. a bungalow that fits like a glove would be perfect instead. They want privacy but have an active lifestyle.
