Welcome to Edgewood Farms Virginia equestrian estate . This gorgeous property is comprised of 184 acres of gently rolling land that features river frontage, two ponds, a 13-stall barn with barn apartment, a guest cottage, pool, an arena with stadium lighting and a lovely home which incorporates many of the salvaged materials from the original home – – because the original home which was built in 1758, was rebuilt after a fire in 1988.
First let’s take a quick tour of the main estate home, below, before we turn our attention to the professional quality equestrian facilities in the other slides on this page.
As you can see, the home now carries the feel and appearance of the colonial days. Authentic original mantels and doors have been incorporated from the home’s prior centuries and they combine beautifully with its current custom detailed millwork. The arched brick breezeway to the garage is an architectural focal point, and some of the home’s original brick exists and is approximately 250 years old. The residential buildings have slate roofs. You and your guests can enjoy the lovely convenient in-ground pool.
Now let’s begin to tour around the property. The barns, stables and equestrian farm facilities are wonderful. See below.
An historic one-room schoolhouse was moved to the property from Loudoun County VA and has now been made into a charming guest house or cottage. The cottage has a deck and accesses the pool. Below are photos of the cottage, the outbuildings and some of the acreage.
